Sitting on over 200 acres in Bellevue, NE - just 10 minutes south of Downtown Omaha - Falconwood Park is a family owned and operated multi-purpose, all-encompassing arts and entertainment venue.
Specializing in weddings, concerts, drive-in movies, and special events, we look forward to having some fun times and creating some cherished memories with you!
Formerly known as Sokol Park, Brandon Miller (former bassist of the Kris Lager Band/Andy Frasco) produced the funk fest, Hullabaloo Music Festival, going back to 2013 at the park.
Seeing the potential and having high aspirations to own the property, and the neighboring Salvation Army side, the Miller family took ownership in 2016.
After the spring floods in 2019, it became a blessing in a very muddy disguise to expand the park grounds and obtain the Gene Eppley Camp and Retreat Center and acreage - previously owned and operated by the Salvation Army.
The campgrounds have now been renovated and updated to provide a modern day camping experience, ready for adventure and a multitude of memories to be made.
In addition to camping, we have a number of shaded green spaces where individuals can enjoy a variety of activities.
Sand volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes to name a few, along with a playground that includes a vintage Ferris Wheel!
Home to Outlandia Music Festival and Hippie Fest, and with over 140 weddings and numerous private events booked each year, Falconwood Park is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after outdoor spaces to book or take in a special event.
How did we come up with naming Falconwood Park? It’s kind of a sweet story.
We originally intended to keep the “Sokol” name, in honor of the parks history and in an attempt to keep the past alive. However, our family has zero ties to the Sokol Organization and we soon realized we needed to remove any confusion that keeping the Sokol name would bring. We revealed our new name: Falconwood Park, in 2017.
Falconwood is in an area known as the Lower Platte River Valley which is an endangered habitat for the Peregrine Falcon; we are also in the woods, and we discovered the English translation of the Czech word “Sokol”… is Falcon! We found the name fitting, and true to the roots of the park.
Falconwood Park sits on the traditional lands of the Otoe people, from the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ Territory. We are grateful and honored to come together on this land, to live, work, create, celebrate and enjoy this crazy thing called life.
